This is a great paste to make and use in a few batches. We use it as a base for curries, stir fry or marinating meat. If we haven't used within in a few days, we freeze the leftovers in a jar in batches.
3 cm (approx) of ginger- chopped finely
3 cloves of garlic - chopped finely
1 tablespoon of paprika
2 teaspoons of garam masala
2 teaspoons of turmeric
3 tablespoons of natural yogurt
1-2 teaspoons of curry powder (optional)
Pinch of salt and pepper
Squeezed lemon juice of half lemon
2-3 tablespoons (approx) of vinegar
- Mix all ingredients (except vinegar) in a bowl until smooth.
- Add vinegar 1 tablespoon at a time - until it is thick-ish.
- Marinate meat or use a base to dishes at quantity desired.
